FAQ

  • Do I need any external devices?

    We recommend completing the training on a tablet. The program supports both iPads and Android tablets, although there are minimum hardware requirements. Once you install and run the app, we will automatically verify whether your tablet is compatible. If it is not, we can recommend a tablet model that works well for the training.

    In addition, we provide A4 self-assessment sheets that you can print at home or receive from optometrists we work with. We will send more information about these after you sign up.
    If you wear reading glasses, you should not use them during the training. However, if you wear distance glasses, you should keep using them while performing the exercises.

    Before starting, users typically undergo a professional eye examination to confirm suitability and enable personalization of the training program.

  • How do I know if this solution is right for me?

    Most users begin to notice improvement after about two weeks of daily training. The remainder of the program is designed to further strengthen and stabilize the improvement.
    Results vary depending on baseline vision and how consistently the training is completed. Some users may notice improvement later in the process.
    For best results, it is important to complete the daily training sessions consistently.
    We provide our users with A4 self-assessment sheets containing sentences printed in progressively smaller fonts to assess their near visual acuity before and after the training, giving you an additional way to track and evaluate your improvement.

  • How do I know if this solution is right for me?

    Our solution is designed for people over the age of 40 who want to improve their near vision. In general, the earlier you start, the better the results tend to be.

    • If you have not started using reading glasses yet, the training may help delay or even prevent the need for them.
    • If your reading glasses prescription is +1.50 or lower, many users are able to eliminate the need for reading glasses through the training.
    • If your reading glasses prescription is above +1.50, you may still improve your near vision, but it is less likely that the initial 30–40 training sessions will fully eliminate the need for reading glasses. Continued training over a longer period may lead to further improvement, although this cannot be guaranteed.
    • If you are highly dependent on reading glasses and use them more than 5–6 hours per day, and cannot significantly reduce their use, this solution may be less suitable. The brain needs to make an effort to see without reading glasses in order to adapt and improve.

    There are also certain eye conditions for which we do not recommend the training. If you are unsure whether this program is appropriate for you, we recommend consulting with one of the optometrists in our network or sending us your prescription for review.

    The encouraging news is that this approach has been studied over 10–15 years, and we have seen participants who completed the initial training and continued with periodic maintenance remain free of reading glasses even into their late 60s.

  • What can I do to get the most out of the training?

    There are three main factors to help you get the most out of the training:

    1. Train consistently
Complete the training every day and maintain consistency throughout the program. Regular practice is key to achieving the best results.
    2. Minimize the use of reading glasses
If you use reading glasses, try to reduce their use during your daily activities and avoid them when possible. The brain needs to make an effort to see without reading glasses in order to adapt and improve. During this transition period, you can increase the font size on your phone and computer to make reading easier.
      If you use multifocal glasses, consider using regular distance glasses for most of your day and reserve multifocals only for situations where they are necessary, and for as little time as possible.
    3. Perform the training correctly
    • Do the training without reading glasses or multifocals
    • If you normally wear distance glasses, use them during the training
    • Train in a dimly lit room to minimize glare on the screen

    One more important note:

    The more you train, the more improvement you are likely to see. If you continue training daily even after completing the initial program, you may continue to improve. We recommend maintaining regular training for as long as possible to support ongoing progress.

  • What if it doesn’t work for me?

    Visual outcomes vary depending on individual factors such as prescription, age, and overall eye health.

    If progress is slower than expected, additional sessions or maintenance training may be recommended. Our clinical partners and support team remain available throughout the process to provide guidance and help optimize the training based on each user’s needs.

  • Will it replace reading glasses?

    After completing the training, users often experience greater ease with everyday activities such as using smartphones, reading menus and labels, and performing other close-up tasks with improved comfort and confidence.
